We have curly, figured Koa veneers in stock now! Our Hawaiian Koa veneers are processed from salvaged trees from the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii. We're constantly hunting for more beautiful Koa, Mango, and Ohia woods. Please have a look at our site for new items added regularly. We're blessed to have a consistent supply of Hawaiian exotics and be able to process the raw veneers, paperback, and fleece backed sheets at our workshop in Nagoya and the mountains of Gifu, the heart of Japan.

"WashiPLY"

is the branded name and registered trademarked with the U.S. Patent Trademark Office for WinklerWoods line of fleece backed veneers. “和紙” or “washi” is a Japanese word meaning “Japanese paper.” Paper-making in Japan started more than 1,300 years ago. We have sourced a very special paper specifically used to lay up our real wood veneers to produce our proprietary product which is the WashiPLY veneer. The result is a durable, extremely flexible, and incredibly thin ply that can be used in a variety of applications such as inside the face of a watch, in the band of a ring, or even as a smart-phone cover. Most of our WashiPLY are custom made to order and can be made with any of our raw veneers in stock. Tell us the specie and log number you like, and we will offer you a quote. Sizes for this product vary. Standard width is 90cm (35.5”).
